ADULT SAILING PROGRAMS


Have you ever watched your child sail and thought, “I’d love to try that!”  or maybe learning to sail has always been on your bucket list?

Now’s your chance!

VYBA offers a variety of different sailing sessions designed just for adults. This beginner-friendly course follows the US Sailing Basic Learn to Sail curriculum. From your very first day, you’ll gain hands-on experience with seamanship and water safety, building the skills and confidence to rig and sail your own boat by the final session.

Your registration in classroom and on-the-water instruction, beginner friendly boats and guidance from experienced, passionate instructors.

Fall Week-Long Sailing Sessions

Includes: 15 hours of classroom and on-water lessons

Dates:

Session 1: Oct 7 - 12

Session 2: Oct 14 – 19

Session 3: Oct 21 – 26

Session 4: Oct 28 – Nov 2

Session 5: Nov 4 – 9

Session 6: Nov 11 – 16

Session 8: Dec 2 – 7

Session 9: Dec 9 – 14

Days & Times:

Tuesday & Thursday 430pm - 8pm

Saturday & Sunday 10am - 2pm


Introduction to Sailing Session

4-hour daily hands-on sailing instruction

Cost: $150 per sailor

Includes: 3 hours of hands-on sailing instruction with a certified instructor

(this is a group setting and not a private lesson)


Offered: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

Saturday and Sunday morning only sessions

Morning Session: 10am – 2pm

Afternoon Session: 4pm – 8pm

Sept 30 – Nov 21

Dec 2 – Dec 12



Friday Social & Family Sails

Cost: $50 per sailor

Bring a friend/family member: $25

Children under 8: Free!


Schedule: Every Friday, Oct 3– Nov 14


Pre-requisite: Sailor (adult or child) must have completed a VYBA Learn to Sail course or have comparable sailing experience

Rigging at 430pm and sailing until 730pm


Whether you are brand new to sailing or looking for family time on the water, VYBA has something for you this fall!


Requirements:

  • Ability to swim, lift, bend, and move

  • Coast Guard–approved life jacket

  • Refillable water bottle

  • Closed-toed water shoes

  • Positive attitude and readiness for fun!
