Fall Learn to Sail

Did you miss summer camp!

VYBA offers Fall learn to sail. This is an 8-day US Sailing learn to sail course where you will learn the basics of seamanship, sailing, and safety on the water.

No experience required!

Our Learn to Sail program is the perfect introduction to the sport of sailing. Over the course of eight fun and engaging days, sailors will develop the skills and confidence needed to safely captain their own boat whether it's an Optimist Pram, Sunfish, or C420.

This progressive program follows the US Sailing Basic Learn to Sail curriculum. Sailors begin with foundational seamanship, safety, and terminology on Day 1 and build their skills each day. By the end of the course, participants will be able to rig and sail independently with a strong understanding of wind awareness, steering, tacking, and basic navigation.

Upon completion, sailors are eligible to enroll in our Adventure Sail Program, which runs on select Sundays throughout the Spring. This next step provides continued learning and on-the-water fun while reinforcing the skills learned in the Learn to Sail course.

Whether your child is brand new to the water or already dreams of taking the helm, this program provides the perfect launch point.
