Missed Summer Camp?

It's not too late to learn to sail! Our Fall Youth Learn to Sail Program is the perfect introduction to the exciting sport of sailing. Over the course of eight fun and engaging sessions, sailors develop the skills and confidence needed to safely captain their own boat, whether it's an Optimist Pram, Sunfish, or C420.

Following the US Sailing Basic Learn to Sail Curriculum, sailors begin with seamanship, safety, boating terminology, and water awareness before progressing to rigging, steering, sail trim, tacking, docking, and basic navigation. By the end of the program, participants will have the knowledge and confidence to rig and sail independently while understanding the fundamentals of safe boating.

This program is ideal for first-time sailors and those looking to build a solid foundation before advancing into VYBA's school-year sailing programs.
