Introduction to Adult Sailing

Curious about sailing? Our Introduction to Sailing session is the perfect way to get started. This hands-on class introduces the fundamentals of sailing in a fun and supportive environment. Participants will learn basic boat parts, wind awareness, steering, and sail control while gaining confidence on the water.

Instruction takes place aboard Sunfish and 420 training sailboats, with coaches nearby to guide you every step of the way. No prior sailing experience is required.

Come prepared to get wet and ready to sail!

Cost: $150 per sailor

Includes: 4 hours of hands-on sailing instruction with a certified instructor

(this is a group setting and not a private lesson)

Offered: Upon Request

Morning Session: 9am – 1pm

Afternoon Session: 4pm – 8pm (2pm - 6pm Winter months)

Required for Participation:

• Ability to swim, lift, bend, and move

• Coast Guard–approved life jacket

• Refillable water bottle

• Closed-toed water shoes

• A positive attitude and readiness for fun on the water!
