Youth Learn to Sail program
After School Program
Thursdays
4pm-7pm
Ages 7-18
Did you miss the summer camps!
Well then, our Learn to Sail program is the perfect introduction to the sport of sailing. Over the course of eight fun and engaging days, sailors will develop the skills and confidence needed to safely captain their own boat whether it's an Optimist Pram, Sunfish, or C420.
This progressive program follows the US Sailing Basic Learn to Sail curriculum. Sailors begin with foundational seamanship, safety, and terminology on Day 1 and build their skills each day. By the end of the course, participants will be able to rig and sail independently with a strong understanding of wind awareness, steering, tacking, and basic navigation.
Cost: $300/sailor
Every Thursday for 8 Weeks
Dates:
Sept: 18, 25
Oct: 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
