C420 RACE CLINIC (ages 13-18) - Pre-requisite Club 420 Advanced summer camp or some other knowledge of sailing.
Do you want to join our School Year Race Team? Learn all the basics of racing here.
Our goal is to help motivate C420 sailors who may be interested in joining the school year race team.
The clinics are designed to offer training to help understand what C420 racing is about as well as improve boat preparation, tuning, sail settings, and advanced boat handling skills including roll tacking, roll gybing, advanced spinnaker work, advanced Trapeze, and mark rounding. We will look hard at developing upwind and downwind speed as well as tactics and race strategy.
Cost: $450/sailor
Lunch is not included - no refrigeration available on site
Sailors MUST be able to swim 50 yards. A swim test will be giving the first day.
Sailors need to arrive each day prepared to sail! We require each sailor to bring:
· Refillable Water Bottle
· Lunch/Snack (No refrigeration is available on site)
· U.S. Coast Guard Approved Type III Life Jacket (Personal Flotation Device) with whistle attached
· Closed-Toe Shoes to be worn at all times!! (No Crocs or Flip-Flops allowed on land or on water)
· Sunscreen
