High School Learn to Sail program
After School Program 3:30pm-6:30pm
Ages 13-18
No experience required! Each sailor learns how to captain and crew their own C420 and all the basic sailing knowledge that goes with it over 8 fun and exciting days. This a progressive sailing program through the US Sailing Organization where your beginner sailor will start on the first day with basic seamanship and build to the last day where they will be able to rig and sail their own boat.
Cost: $250/sailor
Every Tuesday for 8 Weeks
Sailing Dates:
Jan: 17, 24, 31
Feb: 7, 14, 21, 28
Mar: 7
Make up days:
Mar: 21, 28
Sailors MUST be able to swim 50 yards. A swim test will be giving the first day. Sailors need to arrive each day prepared to sail! We require each sailor to bring:
· Refillable Water Bottle
· Snack (No refrigeration is available on site)
· U.S. Coast Guard Approved Type III Life Jacket (Personal Flotation Device) with whistle attached
· Closed-Toe Shoes to be worn at all times!! (No Crocs or Flip-Flops allowed on land or on water)
· Sunscreen
